This car is a true showcase of all the skills we have at Lightnens Customs. This car was given a complete in house restoration. We restored the body, paint, as well as frame. We did all the mechanical assembly and the complete restoration of this car.
Matt Petco's 1964 Plymouth Super Stock Hemi Car. This car was painted on a rotisserie and received tremendous body work to the rear section of the car. Unfortunately no reproduction quarter panels are made for this car, so we were forced to fix the damaged ones. It left with a show winning straight black paint job. At the 2007 ISCA Detroit Autorama this car won second in Super Stock and received a special award for the outstanding paint job.
This is Pratt & Millers C6RS supercar number 2. Jay Leno received the first car. This is Pratt & Millers version of a street legal supercar. There are pictures of the carbon fiber body panels getting ready for paint and the finished product. We are the official painter for all future C6RS supercars.
We paint all of the race cars for Pratt & Miller. Not only do we provide a quality paint job, but we are capable of turning these around in the fast time required for racing teams.
Don Petco's 1964 Factory Hemi Super Stock Car. This is one of the original race cars built by Chrysler for drag racing competition. This car left the factory with aluminum front fenders, hood, doors, and hood scoop. The thin aluminum panels were challenging to work with, but left looking first class. This car was selected as the first Top Eliminator winner at the 2007 Autorama to represent Chrysler at the SEMA show in Las Vegas.
We did almost all of the paint work for the Keslowski Craftsman Truck team. We specialize in the fast turnaround time required for these racing teams. We also have the capability of working with body templates.
Matt Petco's 1968 Hemi Dart. This Car was painted also on a rotisserie. The Black paint really is a great way to show off the arrow straight panels on this car. This Car also won second place at the ISCA Detroit Autorama in Super Stock.
Kevin Sobolewski's 1964 Plymouth Hemi Car. was also painted on the rotisserie. This was Kevin's first restoration project, and it turned into a first class car.
Bob Orlikowski's Rat Patrol II Hemi Super Stock Car. This car had the fenders, hood, and doors all chemically thinned for weight purposes. This made for some very challenging work getting the thin panels straight. This car won its class at the ISCA Detroit Autorama as well.
Bruce Kimmens Outlaw street car is a great example of one of our multiple color flamed paint jobs. We straightened all of the fiberglass panels on this car, and stretched the wheel wells. We even went as far as to Radius the b pillar into the trunk to accommodate the super large rear tires.
Fred Sladovichs's top sportsman camaro is a rolling showcase of our in house multiple color painted graphics.
Matt Petco's 1965 Belvedere Hemi Car. This Car was a totally rust free, but beat up California body. Because of the lack of available reproduction sheet metal we were forced to repair a badly damaged quarter panel. In the end it came out straight and was painted on the rotisserie.
The Midnight Pumpkin is one of the more involved projects we did at Lightnens Customs. This car we replaced the firewall, detailed the Subframe, and replaced all of the brakes. We installed the wheel tubs, updated the tin work, replaced all of the glass, and made it so the customer could leave with a complete running vehicle.
